Family:  Squillidae (squillid mantis shrimps)
Max. size:  15.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 10 - 50 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Japan to western Indian Ocean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 80410. A common shallow water species inhabiting burrows in level bottoms (Ref. 92). Known from muddy and sandy bottoms (Ref. 80410).
