Max. size:  21 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 10 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from Thailand to Indonesia; north to Taiwan Province of China and the Philippines, and south to Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Collected for food in Indo-China (Ref. 348). Lying free, with its right valve underneath, in shallow water (Ref. 348). Mainly in subtidal sandy to muddy areas (Ref. 128042).
