Distribution:  Ponto-Caspian Region.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is native and widely distributed in lakes, ponds and rivers throughout of Turkey. Introduced in many European countries until 1986, before the crayfish plague was observed in 1985 (Ref. 126939).
