Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: India.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in backwaters (Ref. 98471). Occurs in fine sand, clay and silt just below the surface of soft bottom sediments (Ref. 105318). In general, suspension feeding bivalves mainly depend on phytoplankton and detritus material for nutrition (Ref. 107088).
