Description of life cycle and mating behavior Members of the order Neogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners (Ref. 833). Life cycle: Eggs capsules (400 to 1200 eggs) are deposited on hard substrate. Embryos develop within the capsule, emerge into the water column as free-swimming veliger larvae and later assumes a benthic life style (Ref. 104623).
