Head has a rounded triangular shape, bearing a pair of deep lateral horizontal cephalic slits. Eyes are just distinguishale near the lateral margins of the cephalic pigmentation. Smaller, juvenile specimens are pale, having a transparent off-white color. Larger worms are dorsally pale brown to olive green, having whitish transverse epidermal creases.
Intertidal to subtidal, on muddy to shelly sand. Also found under boulders (Ref. 125683), on rocks covered with bivalves, and among coral rubble (Ref. 126155).
