fish weire
(english) Traplike arrangement of fences in which the fish or other prey enter a catching chamber from which escape is difficult, especially when the way out of the trap is secured by a non-return device. Also called weir, and barricade.

(french) Installation fixe, constituée de clayonnage en métal ou autres matériaux, placée dans le chenal de communication d'une lagune avec la mer; constituant un piège permettant de retenir ou capturer les poissons.
