Definition of Term

occipital centrum
(english) On the occiput of the neurocranium, the posterior half of a calcified double cone of the vertebral column, imbedded in the basal plate and articulating with the anteriormost centrum of the vertebral column. Also termed occipital hemicentrum. (See also: occipital, occipital region)
