Found on barrier reefs (Ref. 1733), reef flats habitats on the under-surface of rubble (Ref. 1134). Found on Thalassia leaves (Ref. 1757), occupies space on dead mangrove leaves lying on the bank or pond bottom (Ref. 1758). Filter-feeder (Ref. 68823). Members of the class Ascidiacea are hermaphroditic; both cross- and self-fertilization is typical. Life cycle: Eggs develop into lecithotrophic larva before metamorphosing into benthic adults (Ref. 833).
