Depth based from holotype (Ref. 1661); to be replaced with a better reference. Found in a marine lake, attached to mangrove roots or carbonate rock (Ref. 1661). Filter-feeder (Ref. 68823). Members of the class Ascidiacea are hermaphroditic; both cross- and self-fertilization is typical. Life cycle: Eggs develop into lecithotrophic larva before metamorphosing into benthic adults (Ref. 833).
