Found under mussels on rocks often knotted together in an inextricable mass, folded and bent in sharp angles (Ref. 930). Members of the phylum Nemertea are mostly gonochoric. Life cycle: Eggs hatch and develop into short-lived lecitotrophic larvae before metamorphosing into juveniles and further into adults (Ref. 833).
