Eastern Pacific. Tropical and temperate.
This small and cryptic species is found in more than 40 m of water (Ref. 1306). Members of the class Polyplacophora are mostly gonochoric. Life cycle: Eggs hatch into lecitotrophic planktonic trocophore larvae (no veliger stage) which later metamorphose and settle on the bottom as young adults (Ref. 833).
