Indo-Pacific: from East and South Africa, to eastern Polynesia; north to Japan and Hawaii, and south to New Caledonia.
Length based on occurrence record; to be replaced with better reference. Minimum depth assumed from its ecology. Lower intertidal fringe and sublittoral to shelf zones (Ref. 349). Members of the order Neogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
