Minimum depth from Ref. 80357. Found in sand, muddy sand, sandy mud, and coral reef at depths of 14 to 393 m (Ref. 881). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
