Cold-eurythermal species living on stony, sandy bottoms from less than 1 m to 360 m, most common at depths less than 50 m (Ref. 113560). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
