Assumed maximum length from Ref. 844. Maximum depth from Ref. 337. Often found in shallow waters (Ref. 866) in weedy areas (Ref. 799). Also inhabits sand flats and rock pools (Ref. 866). Feeds on polychaete worms of the family Cirratulidae (Ref. 844). Members of the order Cephalaspidea are mostly simultaneous hermaphrodites (Ref. 833).
