Colony erect and shrub-like branched, basally calcified and white; distal skeleton chitinous and brown, perisarc forms chitinous scales. Polyps with mostly two, sometimes three to five thick tentacles.
Reproduction by fixed cryptomedusoids (Ref. 7479).
