Minimum depth from Ref. 96667. Known from continental slopes, rise, in bathyal areas with depths of 200 to 1440 m (Ref. 8423). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
