Known from lengths of 14 cm, maximum total length; 2.5 to 6.5 cm, carapace length (Ref. 4). It is found in shallow water on the sandy bottom of coral reefs (Ref. 4). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
