Climate / Range
Indo-Pacific: from East and South Africa, to Melanesia and Samoa islands; north to Japan and south to New South Wales and New Caledonia.
Also found in shallow subtidal waters (Ref. 349). Feeds on sand dollars (Ref. 799). Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
