Found in sandy mud, soft mud, and mud with broken shells at depths of 55 to 144 m (Ref. 80357). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
