It is a non-selective carnivore (Ref. 3593). This species display diel vertical migrations and are concentrated in the upper water at night (Ref. 96408). Members of the phylum Ctenophora are hermaphroditic. Life cycle: Eggs develop into planktonic juveniles called cydippid and later gradually adopt the form of adults (Ref. 833).
