Longitudinal muscle band: 24-30 (commonly 27-29). Unattached nephridia. Brain: without digitate processes. Elongate papillae: extends from longitudinal epidermal canals to the middle third part of the body.
Neritic to oceanic (Ref. 1840); shelf to upper slope (Ref. 19). Shelf to upper slope (Ref. 19). At depths 60-370 m at Red Sea to the northwest Indian Ocean (Ref. 1840).
