Maximum carapace length: 4.0 cm.
Inhabits upper slopes of island shelves from 176 to 547 m, on bottoms of green mud or fine sandy mud (Ref. 409). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
