Depth range based from holotype (Ref. 1751); to be replaced with a better reference. Found on small pebbles and shark's teeth in a muddy habitat between 340 to 400 m depths (Ref. 1751). Members of the class Ascidiacea are hermaphroditic; both cross- and self-fertilization is typical. Life cycle: Eggs develop into lecithotrophic larva before metamorphosing into benthic adults (Ref. 833).
