Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 3 - 13 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Madagascar to Thailand, Australia and Caroline Islands.
Diagnosis:  Heavily spotted with dark red dots all over the body, its caudal fan, and chelae.
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 81840. Intertidal to subtidal on hard bottom (Ref. 106854). Found on lithothamnion bottom (Ref. 81840). Also found on sandy mud (Ref. 113378).
