Environment:  benthic; brackish; marine; depth range 2 - 30 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: from Mauritania to Angola.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 2708. Inhabits brackish and saltwater at depths of less than 30 m on bottoms of mud and sand (Ref. 435). Omnivore and opportunistic benthic predator. Prefers fishes and molluscs (Ref. 106107).
