Family:  Cypraeidae (cowries)
Max. size:  5.7 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: East Africa to Micronesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  On shallow muddy water (Ref. 799). Also found under coral slabs (Ref. 349). Members of the family Cypraeidae are primarily carnivores (Ref. 67623).
