Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from east Africa to Japan and New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs on sand, rubble or corals at depths of 0 to 30 m (Ref. 800). Also on sponges (Ref. 82802). Grazes on organic surface of rocky and sandy substrates. Feeds on small sessile invertebrates (Ref. 800).
