Max. size:  0.04 cm BL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 0 - 200 m
Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic, Mediterranean and Western Indian Ocean: from Ireland to Chennai, India.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Intertidal (Ref. 123889). Found in medium and fine sand (Ref. 124654), and sandy soils with fine to coarse sand, sometimes mixed with shell grit (Ref. 123849). Feeds on plants, diatoms, protozoans, nematodes, gastrotrichs, copepods and others (Ref. 95963).
