Environment:	sessile; marine; depth range 21 - 50 m
Distribution:	Western Central Atlantic.
Diagnosis:	Massive encrusting body usually burrowing in the sand from which sharp and corrugated projections arise. Up to 2 cm high and 0.5 cm wide. Orange to yellow externally, slightly lighter internally. Compressible but fragile (Ref. 415).
Biology:	Minimum depth from Ref. 116509. Growing on deeper areas of the reef over sandy and or muddy bottoms, covered by sediments (Ref. 415).
