Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 0 - 10 m
Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic, Western Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea: Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  In shallow waters to a depth of 10 m. Found on algae, bivalves, tunicate and sponges. May also occur in living corals (Ref. 107831).
