Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 2 - 80 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Juvenile: Strongly banded; Adult: Bands reduced to vertebral blotches. Lateral series of spots present below a pale interspace and dark dorsal bar. Ventrals blackish on the throat and forepart of the body.
