Max. size:  0.9 cm WD (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Atlantic: Antarctic (Gauss station) and Greenland.
Diagnosis:  Calyx timble shaped, with sloping sdes, up to 9 cm wide and slightly more in height; peduncle almost rudimentary; perradial notches between arms somewhat wider and deeper than the interradial; arms short, each with up to 100 short tentacles; gonads very broad, extending to base of arms.
Biology:  Species recorded below a 200 meter depth (Ref. 116634).
