Max. size:  17 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 16 - 90 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from Pakistan to Malaysia, the Philippines and Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 107878. Subtidal (Ref. 106854). Juveniles are found in an estuary (Ref. 106922), mangrove inlets, subtidal edge of mud flats, near inshore and far inshore waters (Ref. 121464). Inhabits sand, mud, mud flats, mud mixed with shell fragments, fine sloppy alluvial silt, and clean sand with coarse shell and gravel (Ref. 106856). Pelagic, i.e. recorded in the water column (Ref. 106854). Omnivorous bottom feeder (Ref. 105082).
