Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic, Western Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea: Red Sea and Persian Gulf.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on sublittoral phytal material and biofouling reef (Ref. 107795). Probably omnivores and scavengers as some species have been observed feeding on algae while others feed on invertebrates (e.g. ascidians) and carrion (Ref. 107862).
