Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range - 40 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: from Portugal and Spain to Angola.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum carapace width: 5.15 cm. Occurs from the intertidal and subtidal zone to a depth of 40 m. Inhabits in estuarine or marine environment, burrowing in mud or found under stones in muddy or rocky environment. Occurs at the low tide mark (Ref. 435).
