Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 1 - 130 m
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: from Brazil to Argentina.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum carapace length: 4.0 cm (male); 5.4 cm (female) (Ref. 8). Adults spawn offshore and postlarvae enter shallow estuarine waters, settling on algal and seagrass beds. Juveniles are reported to feed on plant material (Ref. 106887).
