Distribution:  Arctic, Northern Pacific and Northern Atlantic: from Sea of Okhotsk, Japan south to Galapagos, north to Svalbard and east to Murman coast, Russia. Mostly polar, but also in subtropical, temperate and boreal climates. Polar to temperate.
