Distribution:	Western Central Atlantic: Caribbean.
Diagnosis:	Thick encrusting up to 4 cm thick. Dull reddish to brown externally, lighter color internally. Smooth surface, leathery to the touch. Compressible in consistency (Ref. 415).
Biology:	Maximum thickness: 4 cm (Ref. 415). Common between and under coral rubble, in shallow reefs and seagrass environments; 1 to 10 m deep (Ref. 415).
