Family:  Terebridae (auger shells), subfamily: Terebrinae
Max. size:  17 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 10 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Mainly collected for its shell (Ref. 349). It is found in intertidal and shallow sublittoral areas to a depth of 10 meters, and is common on sandy substrates (Ref. 128042).
