Definition of Term

overfishing
(English) Applying a fishing effort beyond which will generate a desirable, sustainable, or 'safe' population or stock level. For long-lived species, overfishing starts well before the stock becomes overfished. (See also: fishing effort, fishery, open access fishery)
surexploitation

sobrepesca
