Definition of Term

pedunculated
(English) Borne on a stalk or pedicel; used in fish in the rare instance when the pectoral rays have their bases at the ends of elongated supporting bones rather than directly at the sides of the fish. (See also: pectoral fins)
pédonculé
(French) Porté par une tige ou un pédoncule ; utilisé chez les poissons dans le rare cas où les rayons pectoraux ont leurs bases fixées aux extrémités d'os allongés et non directement aux flancs du poisson. (See also: pectoral fins)
pedunculado
(Portuguese) Que nasce dum broto ou pedículo; raramente utilizado em Ictiologia quando os raios das peitorais nascem da ponta de ossos de suporte e não directamente do corpo. (See also: pectoral fins)
