This species can be distinguised from its congeners by the following set of characters: absence of eyes; presence of branchiae with a single long filament commencing at chaetiger 31; presence of unidentate subacicular hooks starting from chaetiger 28; only one type of pectinate chaetae with very long outer teeth (Ref. 128064).
A deep-sea species found among pumice rocks, inside sunken wood (Ref. 128064).
