Found on Laminaria sp. holdfasts, Cellaria sp. and rocks (Ref. 1442). Known to be found in infralittoral of the Gulf and estuary (Ref. 87872). Diet is composed of small microorganisms, including diatoms and other unicellular algae (Ref. 87872). This is a suspension feeder (Ref. 3477).

Sexual and asexual; bryozoan colonies consist of replicated series of zooids, each budded asexually from a predecessor. The founding zooid metamorphoses from the sexually produced larva. Hermaphroditic. (Ref. 87872).
