It is found in the infralittoral zone (Ref. 105146). Found on rocky substrates and mixed sandy bottoms at intertidal and subtidal depths between 2 and 40 m (122167). Species belonging to the subfamily Rapaninae are known to be dominant molluscan predators on tropical rocky shores (Ref. 105330).
