Short description Morphology

Length: 0.07 to 0.13 cm. Minuscule, elongate fluke with a relatively small, simple rhynchus. Ear-like anterior projections of the body occur on either side of the rhynchus. Eggs: not found in the anterior part of the body (Ref. 359).

Host Specificity: This parasite is genus specific to barracuda (Sphyraena). Habitat (vertebrates): worldwide parasite of barracudas (Ref. 359).
