Geography and Climate Aruba is located in the Caribbean, island in the Caribbean Sea, north of Venezuela. Area - comparative: slightly larger than Washington, DC. Climate is tropical marine; little seasonal temperature variation. Terrain consists of flat with a few hills; scant vegetation. Elevation extreme has the lowest point in the Caribbean Sea 0 m and highest point in Mount Jamanota 188 m. Natural resources are negligible; white sandy beaches. Land use: arable land: 11, other: 89% (1993 est.). Natural hazard lies outside the Caribbean hurricane belt.
