Biology     Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)

The Oregon pink shrimp fishery of this species has been certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (http://www.msc.org/) as well-managed and sustainable (http://www.msc.org/html/content_1433.htm). Found on green mud or mixed mud and sand bottoms. Can tolerate bottom water salinities ranging from 28.69-34.64 parts per thousand. Males are found in shallower areas (commonly 75-128 m) than females during first 6 months of the year and there is mixing during the remaining half of the year (Ref. 82469).

Life cycle and mating behavior Maturity | Reproduction | Spawning | Eggs | Fecundity | Larvae
