Definition of Term

postlarvae
(English) Animals that have changed from the larval form to juvenile or adult form; usually refers only to the stage immediately following the larvae and which shows already juvenile characters such as fin rays. (See also: larvae, juvenile, metamorphosis)
post-larve
(French) Animaux intermédiaires entre les formes larvaire et juvénile ou adulte ; se rapporte habituellement au stade qui suit immédiatement la larve et qui montre déjà des caractères juvéniles tels que les rayons des nageoires. (See also: larvae, juvenile, metamorphosis)
pós-larva
(Portuguese) Animais que passaram da forma larvar para a de juvenil ou adulta; usualmente refere-se apenas à imediata ao estadio larvar que já apresenta caracteres juvenis. (See also: larvae, juvenile, metamorphosis)
